June 21, 20178 yr Hi everyone, I have a topic here: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/511977-simconnect-connection-failed-error-in-fsxwx/#comment-3643044 and it hasn't gotten any replies for 11 days so I thought I'd post a new one. Anyway, Here is my problem: I got FSXWX installed for P3D and when I click Connect it says Simconnect Connection Failed. I tried running the simconnect installer but it still had the same error in FSXWX. Any ideas? Thanks very much Caleb Byers PC: HP Envy 750, Intel Core i7 6700 @ 3.4 GHz (max 4.0 GHz), 24GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 745 with 4GB Memory, 2TB SSHD Windows 10 Home 64 bit. June 28, 20178 yr 1. Download and install FSUIP 4.964 or higher (my is 4.964 ) 2. download and install net.framework 3.5 3. browse to ur P3D root folder ... redist -> Interface ->FSX-SP2-XPACK -> retail -> lib install SimConnect.msi 4. restart PC 5. browse to ur P3D root folder ... -> weather and backup wxmapping.bin or rename 6. when done delete oryginal wxmapping.bin from weather folder 7. download modified wxmapping.bin unpack and copy/paste to weather folder 8. browse to: ur_user_name -> AppData -> Roaming -> Lockheed Martin -> Prepar3D v3 and delete file wxstationlist.bin 9. run P3D and go to airport. 10. now very important, run FSXWX as admin // right click on FSXWX.exe or shourtcut and click on run as administrator EPWA - real weather
June 28, 20178 yr Author I did that and still had the same problem. I have Microsoft .Net Framework v4.5 installed. And the free version of FSUIPC4. Do I need the paid version? Also, what settings (if any) need to be set in FSUIPC in order for FSXWX to work? Thanks very much for your time. December 12, 20178 yr Author Yes. Even though I never fixed my issue with this in P3D v3.4, now that I have v4.1, I got it installed and it works great. Thanks.
