Over here in the UK (and I guess in other places), strobe lights and beacons act a bit like flashbulbs or flashes of lightning (extremely short and intense flashes of light with hardly any glow or halo effect). Is it possible to get FS strobes to look like this ??Can I use a text editor to change the settings in an .fx file to achieve the above effect, and what settings should I use to do it ??

I don't know if the effect you describe is out there, but Jose Rafael Navarro has a nice 3rd-party set of strobe lights available. The file is here at AVSIM, you can find it by doing an advanced search and search for his name. The filename may be stobe2v2.zip.I've never messed with an .fx file so I can't help ya there.Hope that helpsRhett
