737 autopilot

I have been trying to fly the 737 using the autopilot but sometimes I can turn on the autopilot and other times I get the autopilot disconnect push to reset warning but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong any help please also must apologise for all the questions lately  but am new to afs2
