Serious AP issues in new 300

I've had the 300 since it's release and had  no issues. Everything worked as expected. The AP took some getting used to but it worked

With this new version, I have some serious issues - 

Let's say I climb to 10000 feet. Engage AP and select ALT HOLD - this puts current ALT (10000) in MFD and SHOULD maintain the alt. But for me, when I do that, the VS bug goes up and the a/c starts a 10kn/min climb.

Have they changed something? IS anyone else having issues with ALT HOLD?

EDIT: must have been an initialization issue - hasn't failed since I posted.
