Hey folks. I bought and tried installing GE. Everything seemed to be fine, I installed the software to the default location. I then launched FS9, and tried a few different locations. I was depressed to see no difference from the regular textures.What am I doing wrong? If I look in the FS9/Scenery/Texture folder, I see the new texture files. They just don't seem to be showing up in FS.Cheers,Steve

Run the GE Configuratino Manager make your selection for Day and/or Night textures and watch them copy to the F9 folder.Allcott

Thanks for that Alcott. I did install the textures...sorry...shoulda mentioned that.I'm in the process of taking some screens with default and GE textures. Will post soon.

Please disregard this post. After looking at my screen captures, I decided that the textures are different. I just expected a more drastic difference, I guess. I'm guessing that I will need to have FSGenesis and UT installed to get the screenshots that are on the GE site.Just a bit disappointed, I guess.Cheers all,Steve

hi,well, same here...did also expect so see a lot more differences...i also do not own either fs genesis or UT.. i had to doublecheck the files within fs9, whether the new files were copied or not (first, almost no visual difference to my previous installation, second during the copy process, GE referred to the directory from the GE install and not to directory where fs is installed...but files were copied at the end)IMHO, there should have been some sreenshots WITHOUT those addons installed....well, on the other hand, maybe i should have asked for some screenshots before buying blindly the product...cheers,harald

I see a huge difference with GE installed. All I had before was World Extreme Landscapes. My FS now looks exactly like the pics on the GE site, so I don't think they used anything other than that to take them. Maybe its your FS display settings? I do know they found a problem with the autogen and are putting out a patch today.You could always email GE support, they usually answer fast and it's the developer direct, they have great customer support.

This is what I see from the same alt, and I had to lower the quality settings a lot to get it to post here, hope it helps...if the pic shows up.

GE made a big difference, but I wanted a bit more. I already had UT, but when I added FS Genesis, 38m mesh, it was WONDERFUL!! I found no hits of FPS and I even was able to increase some of the settings. I find the biggest hit is AI, which I set at 50%.All the best and happy landingsFlygirl
