  1. Hi,thanks for this file..this made the trick! :( Glad to see, that there are still some overland drivers around! I'll now start to check the A320 series, which and what textures can be applied there...lets see, if i'm successful. I've already changed the A330 series accordingly with some small changes for the engine starters, etcthanks again for the file!cheersharald
  2. excellent finding! congrats! :( one questions: i dont get red numbers (mina are still white) on Baro, Speed, Heading, Altitude, Vs, etc as shown in the picture - how toget them?i copied all your config as described.thanks and cheersharald
  3. well, there are some marker sounds in cockpit vidoes at youtube...the marker sounds just fade in and out, and not as harsh as the standard sounds in fs2004. so, i'm trying to mimic these somehow... :( lets see, if i'm successful. if yes, it will be uploaded here.cheersharald
  4. Hi Roman, many thanks for quick reply and help...my eyes getting older...! :( cheers and thanks, harald
  5. Hi Folks, just a quick question - is there a possibility to change the FS2004 sounds for Outer, Middle and Inner Marker somewhere or are they hard coded? :( thanks and cheers, harald
  6. Congrats! :( welcome to the club - i also got boy 3 weeks ago (3rd - 2 girls, now one boy, thanks heaven :( )If you still find some time, new FDE's for the A300 and the B767 from overland would be great!thanks and all the best!cheersharald
  7. Hi Bryan!any chance to get the overland B767 and A300 with new fde's? :( that would complete the whole package :( would be great!cheersharald
  8. Hi Meatwater!all downloaded and installed! :( phenominal and outstanding work! :( cheersharald
  9. Hi all!just a quick tip for those who made a backup of the original voices:decide which pilot and copilot voices you would like to hear and copy those back from the original folders - then you have in the cockpit "normal voices" and the rest is covered with the new ones. for me, i like the voices from Dale Collins as pilot and Bryan Opalka as my copilot. which are the folder 55 and 56 (but don't forget to mack a backup from the new ones, in case you want to revert back or change pilot/copilot voices!).so, now you have both, the standard voices in the cockpit and the new ones as ATC!Thanks again to MeatWater for this great update!cheersharald
  10. hi!those two links are broken.thanks for your had work!cheersharald

  12. hi there, also had some troubles with simroutes in the past - if the plan doesn't load in fs, check if all waypoints are in the right order (sometimes simroutes does a wrong order, esp with long flightplans)..so bottom line, all waypoints must start from 0 and then ascend properly without interuptionwaypoint 0.waypoint 1.waypoint 2.etcsomtimes it looks like thiswaypoint 0.waypoint 1.waypoint 3.so, waypoint.2 is missing, therefore fs can not load the plan properly.just fix it by editing the flightplan via windows editor.hope, this helpscheersharald
  13. Hi Bryan!great news and thank you so much!and looking forward to the overland updates as well!cheersharald

  17. Hello,i wanted to add some chatter atc wav's for the dubai region, but it seems there is no FIR (winwood) available where i can add those wav's. Also Doha FIR seems to be missing. is there an easy way to add those missing FIR's? Emirates center is available in s4.csv but none in z4.csv.thanks for helping!cheers, harald
  18. Hi Bryan!thank you very much! looking forward for the Boeing models!quick question: no A300 updates? -)cheers!harald
  19. 555_HH replied to a post in a topic in The FS2004 (FS9) Forum
Hi,to move the CoG back or forward you need to adjust the "wing_pos_apex_lon" value in the aircraft.cfg(airplane_geometry).you can then check the new position of the CoG in FS9 under fuel and payload section (the black and white circle on the airplane picture)cheers, harald
  20. Hi,i've no idea how to handle 3 flat panels but this how i did (with only 1 flat screen :-) )You install fsrecorder as per instruction, then start fs9, load an overland a320 and go to recorder (now available in the menubar). select advanced spot views and create a new spotview. under title enter anything you like (ie.wingview), distance 0, direction 0, altitude 0, zoom 0.8 (or what you prefer) and checkmark manual paning, turn with aircraft and pitch and and bank with aircraft. press ok and thats it! you can toogle now with V resp shift-V between normal spot view and wingview (which you have created now). save this spotview under a320 or so and reload whenever neccessary. for other overland models you have to fiddel around with altitude and/or distance to get the right view. you can create more views within one setup if you like (i.e. wingview more forward or backward)hope this helps and let me know if it works!cheersharald
  21. Hi John!thanks for this great tip! fsrecorder indeed solves all the wingview problems! installed and checked yesterday and works smooth as silk with all models!many thanks for bringing this great freeware tool on topic!cheers, harald
  22. Hi Folks, pls find below a very simple solution to get wingviews with most (except B767 and Md11) VC Overland models!as we all know, we can either choose between the Overland VC model (pls no discussion about the VC quality and/or functionality..i know, there are much more better VC models out there...:-) ) or the Overland wingview model..there is/was up to now no option to use the VC model AND the wingview together (which i prefer). So, i was looking for something to merge VC and wingview, but no chance so far unless hexing the mdl-file (which i doubt makes sense). Adding wingviews bmp's into the panel.cfg is nice and feasable, but they are static and do not reflect the actual view (i.e. with flaps and spoilers, colors, etc) and therefore not really a solution which i'm happy for. Before we start, there are of course some drawbacks (as the ideal solution would be to have the VC and the wingview merged in one model, but we need to live und use what we have) but those are very minor (see further below) imho. So, to make the story short, here we go: In order to get wingviews (left and right!) when using any VC model, you simple change the spotplane view in FS2004 menu to following values (see picture fs9 options) - you can fiddel around with those values to see differences (i.e. zoom, altitude). but with most models those values works pretty well. After that, just use your cooliehat on your joystick and rotate the view as neccessary (up, down, left, right) and voila, nice and actual wingviews! (see picture A319 easyjet wingview). During flight, just press "S" until you get to the wingview!Drawbacks: - depending on the viewposition, parts of the model come into the view (simple adjust with your cooliehat)- you can not modify or change the wingview position (further back or forward as with active camera)unless changing the wing_pos_apex_lon value in the aircraft.cfg, which then will change the flightdynamics, so be careful!- during turns, the view get out of place, so you need to adjust the view again during any turn or when leveled out with your joystick cooliehat- it does not work well with B767 and Md11 so far (the current viewposition seems to be to deep) but i will try to resolve this (maybe Bryan Betts can help here when he is adjusting his FDE's for the remaining Boeing models) - no complewte outside view of the plane anymore (well, we got now those wingviews instead! :-) ) if you like to view the plane, simple revert the spotplane values. That's it - hope you enjoy those wingviews with the overland now as i do!and Bryan, thanks for your updates!PS: the quality of the easyjet picture is not that good, as the plane textures are in DXT1 format (to increase fps)cheers, harald
  23. great news and many, many thanks for your work and updates!cheers!
  24. Hi Bryan!was away for one week and i saw that you updated the A330's! great! Are you going to update all other overland models too? Your work is highly appreciated!!thank you!cheers,555
  25. Hi Bryan!yes, same problem with the fuel gauge display here! would be nice to get the fix!and many thanks for your work with the updates for the overland models!highly appreciated!!thanks and cheers, harald
