"would this improve fs performance? how?"In my experience, no. I've often had similar products pitched at me, especially in my last job where I did most of the purchasing for our WAN. My response was always "thanks, but no thanks." Most of these products work the same way--they steal resources from one area to make them available in another area. I'd steer clear of them--I don't consider any of them worth the money. The only exception would be if the product offered a time limited demo, then you could see for yourself. The best bet for improving MSFS performance, if you have the RAM, would be one of those utilities that allows you to alias a folder into a RAM drive. If you could alias the folder containing all of MSFS's ground textures, that alone might offer a huge improvement in smoothness. The type of program I am referring to makes it "appear" as if the folder is on your HD and in the MSFS folder structure, but actually the folder is stored in RAM. I saw a program like this once, but never looked into it further since I didn't have enough RAM to try it out.-John

Interesting. It sounds like SystemBoosterXP that megascenery promotes. I am trying it but I don't see real improvement. I agree with John's idea though. Now that I have a fairly fast PC, the single big performance hitter in FS is loading. 25FPS all the time until FS decides to load tons of textures out of scenery/world/texture.Jason
