  1. All you have to do is to add this line to your ASN shortcut target c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe /C start /affinity 1 Example, the ASN shortcut target looks like this now: "c:\blah blah\blah blah\ASN.exe" Change it to: c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe /C start /affinity 1 "c:\blah blah\blah blah\ASN.exe" By the way affinity 1 = core 0. Next time you click on the ASN shortcut the program will only be running on core 0.
  2. I am wondering about this as well...
  3. If this pleases your eyes, you must love the Falcons as well.
  4. Wait. wait. wait. wait. Is that the Digital Aviation Cheyenne??!!!
  5. Merry Christmas, Michael. and all fellow simmers.
  6. Let's all do it! I just did.
  7. 4.x coming according to Rob! Sorry, i'm just a little bored.
  8. Yaw stability I feel that the yaw stability is quite "screwy" (unstable) especially in slow flight. Slow to 130 - 140 kts in clean or landing configuration. Now try some shallow to medium bank turns and observe the "ball" (slip skid indicator). The plane behaves like this: it starts with a significant skid in the direction of the turn (adverse yaw) and then yaws into the turn way past center to a big slip, all with little to no rudder input, YD on or off and no wind. One may argue that this is exactly what I deserve for not using the rudder. I admit that using the rudder does help dampen this instability. As I start banking I need to "kick" the tail into the turn and then quickly straighten the rudder as soon as my bank angle is stabilized in order to avoid the slip. Even with practice keeping the ball anywhere near center when turning remains a very tricky task. More importantly I do not want to practice such "technique" if this is not how the real plane behaves. But if it is, hats off to all the Lear35 drivers out there. BIG RED "return yoke" labels These labels on the floor are well-intentioned but way overly dramatic. At night they keep making me think that the plane is on fire. Hydraulic Pressure Gauge As I previously reported, with all systems off (cold and dark) the gauge needle points to max pressure. Not sure if that's correct or not. "short sighted" landing light The landing light looks fantastic, in and outside. But I feel that they are too "short sighted". I can't see any ground illumination until I'm 10 ft. off the ground before touchdown.
  9. It's amazing how active flysimware developers are in supporting their products, which are already excellent. I have high hope for these guys to rise up and join rank with the very few top aircraft addon developers soon.
  10. Oh thank you! I actually drew it myself haha. It's the Lear. I just read through the hydraulic system discussion. That was quite an extensive one! When I said the gauge indicates "100" I meant the needle went all the way to the right. I think the left side is the "0" or no pressure side. I will take a closer look tonight as to how the system functions in this Lear.
  11. The hydraulic pressure gauge indicates 100 when there is no hydraulic pressure (engines and elec pump OFF). I have ver.1.7. Great airplane by the way, I really enjoyed it on my first day of ownership. Thank you.
  12. Do they have the 1.7 version yet, or is it still 1.6 when you download it?
  13. So instead let's listen to one more people. Why? because assertion = absolute truth I suppose, with statements like this: "stop the tweaking NONSENSE right now. You need a clean default Prepar3D install with a clean config and ONLY APPLY the items I posted above in that config, NOTHING ELSE"
  14. I'm somewhat in the same boat. Currently I only have UTX USA in my V3 and am happy with it. I have not convinced myself that GEX is a must-have yet.
  15. Very robust tool to see FPS perf in details. However I'm not sure if this is meaningful for "hunting down stutters". Stutters are rarely correlated with the direct position and speed, etc. of the airplane. It's more linked to things like file access (i.e. texture or AI traffic loading...).
  16. I'm happily back on my FS9 machine and will be for several months to come, while excitedly watching V3.0 unfold. I'll also happily fly our company jets at work. Looking back at my student pilot days when FS9 was a new thing, I have to somewhat admire and appreciate the longivity of the tree of FS life, which bares a few delicious fruits every so often too!
  17. Thanks for the response. Do you make public announcements regarding new alpha build releases? I just want to be on the look out for it.
  18. Good discussion. I've been very interested in getting this Kingair, maybe at the next Alpha build. How big a discount does the current price represent? Personally I felt that Kent's posts are informative and only help increase my interest in this product.
  19. The airbus systems simulation is not at the same level as the PMDGs. If you jump in the VC and start trying all switches to see if everything works, you may be quickly disappointed. That being said, Aerosoft's design scope for the airbus has always been an in-depth sim of the airbus' NORMAL operation. And I think they have achieved that goal quite nicely. Regarding SP3, it was a major update and the top piece of it is the shared cockpit function. But unfortunately it was not, and by Aerosoft's own admission, a good initial release. They have since then spending a lot of time addressing reported issues. At this point the bug reports have pretty much died down and I suppose they are working hard on a problem-free SP3.1, which I am patiently waiting for before I install the bus back into my P3D.
  20. The lesser of the two evils...ain't that the name of the game for us all since for ever in the FS land?
  21. I tried 3way sli once on new year's eve in 1996. It built up too much heat. Happy New Year, all.
  22. Are all engine variants simulated (PW, GE, RR)?
