How to copy an aircraft settings to another simulator

Recommended Posts

Hi

If I have defined switch and button definitions for an aircraft, e.g PMDG B737 in P3D v3 (or FSX-SE), which files/folders do I need to move to the Linda setup in P3D v4 so I do not have to manually define each action again in the new simulator.

Thanks

Keith

Hi Keith

When copying your LINDA setup from one flight simulator to another you need to move the following configuration folders/files:

\modules\linda

\modules\linda-cfg

You can also use the built-in backup function on the LINDA Maintenance page as follows:

  • In the 'old' flight sim select FSXSYNC and any aircraft (shows -- Aircrafts --) and click on Maintenance. Select the backup target folder.
  • Open LINDA in P3Dv4 (version 3.0.2 or later) and repeat except select Restore instead.

Be aware that in copying across the LINDA configuration you will also include aircraft modules/configurations that are not available for or compatible with P3Dv4.
