Unable to reset master caution

Featured Replies

Hi all,

todays evening i made a flight from Dubai to lol Dubai because of a pack L+R failure.

At the end of  the checklist where one of the last items is to set both outflow valve switches to manual my master caution light could not be reset anymore.

It didn't matter what i did even a A/T disc. could not bring the master caution light to turn off.

I am very aware that my description is vauge for a reproduction but more i can not say.

Cheers Henrik K.

Has this issue been resolved yet or is it stiff affecting you?

If it hasn’t been resolved, I have noticed a few instances where the master caution could not be reset. I’d assume that setting outflow valves to manual would be enough to make the plane keep it illuminated so you don’t forget that they are on manual. Could be wrong, but that’s just my best guess.

Well i haven't flown a scenario like that since...

And no i do not think that this would keep the master caution on as you would then be less aware of a possible other failure.

I'll fly the 747 again when FS2Crew released their update and then report back.

Thanks for the help tho.
