October 1, 20178 yr Hey guys, I hope this is the correct forum section for this, if not please do point me to it. I was fiddling about with my first Carenado purchase and came across the tip to use the XMLTools64. I downloaded the lib from fsdeveloper eventhough I already had one sitting in my P3DV4 directory. I used the installer and it installed fine. Then it added its lines to dll.xml in appdata. Since I noticed no change, I turned on content error reporting and sure enough [error.0] error=Error loading "XMLTools64.dll." in "C:\Users\sim\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\DLL.xml." this showed up. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?> <SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0"> <Descr>Launch</Descr> <Filename>dll.xml</Filename> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad> <Launch.Addon> <Name>Multi Crew Experience</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>fsInsider64.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>FSUIPC 5</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>Modules\FSUIPC5.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>CMeteoXml</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>.\CMeteoXmlx64.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>Carenavigraph</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>.\Carenavigraphx64.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>XMLTools64</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>XMLTools64.dll</Path> <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName> <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>as_connect</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>as_srv\as_connect_64.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> </SimBase.Document> This is my dll.xml. Do the XML Tools have any dependencies? Like some other runtime that I need to install? I could not find any information about it. Thanks for your help, Deimos
October 1, 20178 yr Author And user error :) Or some installer messed about. XMLTools64 also had an entry in "ProgramData" dll.xml Removing that works wonders.
