EHAM airport runway

Featured Replies

Just listening to atc tower at amsterdam tonight and noticed the runway for take-off was 36L and landing 06, however in FS9 the north/south runway is depicted as 01/19 whereas the real world one is 36/18. Have they changed the runway orientation at amsterdam?

magnetic drift caused them to change the number by one degree. it happens a lot, PANC just changed theirs from 26 to 27

No, its caused by the fact that EHAM expanded with a new runway.This Rw is NOT in the default FS2004.It's e.g. in Cloud9 EHAM/Schiphol (superb), but also freeware:http://www.dutchvacc.nl/index.php?option=c...bf90466a1bcb2dfBefore:19R/01 L19L/01 RNow a third RW is added and to avoid confusion it's now:18 R/ 01 L this is the new RW, was'nt there before18 C / 36 C (before called 19 R / 01 L)18 L / 36 R (before called 19 L / 01 R)http://www.ais-netherlands.nl/aim/060202-0.../AM-ADC-A2s.pdf---->>>> http://www.ais-netherlands.nl/aim/060202-0.../AM-ADC-A2s.pdfHessel

Oh right, thanks for the info and links, hopefully the new runway and changed designation will be in the next flightsim version of FSX :-)
