March 17, 200620 yr Hi -What is the easiest way to force FS9 to 'rebuild its database'?I ask this becasue it seems to me that whenever a dbase rebuild occursmy textures load quicker for a while.I've switched views while watching the FPS readout and it doesn't seemto drop even though the textures can take a while to 'pop in'.When I recently installed FSGenesis landclass (which forced a rebuild), for a while my textures loaded quicker but now I'm back to slow textures. What's the easiest way to force a dbase rebuild? | Dave | I've been around for most of my life. March 17, 200620 yr Rename a bgl file to *.bak, start FS2004. The index will be rebuild.Close FS2004 and rename the bgl file back to *.bgl and start FS2004 again. The index will be rebuild again. March 18, 200620 yr There is a command to refresh the scenery as you fly. In my case it's CTRL SHIFT S. Can't recall if it's the default. You can set your own by going into Options/Controls/Assigments... and scroll down to Refresh Scenery and program your key sequense for the keyboard. The refresh completes in a couple of seconds depending on your system,Hope it helps, Hugo
March 19, 200620 yr Each time you go to exit FS9, click end flight.Click on scenery, edit ADDON. Close it, and it will rebuild next time. This way it rebuild each time you load the FS.
