March 20, 200620 yr I have installed Holger's Alps East & West into FS9. I think it works fine. But I have two folders in my FS9Addon Scenery called alpse_fe and alpsw_fe and wondered: is this correct? Or do both folders need to be merged with each other in a manner similar to Holger's incredible Himalayas collection which I also have installed?Just curious about this. Don't want to get a strange CTD or whatever if I can avoid it...!Appreciate any advice, thanks!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
March 20, 200620 yr Author Commercial Member Hi JS,actually, that might have been a misunderstanding with the instructions. When you first unzip the packages you get those two folders, alpse_fe and alpsw_fe, but what you really only need to move into your Addon Scenery directory is the "mesh Alps LOD10 by Ferranti & Sandmann" folder it contains. That has the same name for both the eastern and the western parts of the Alps and thus you'll automatically merge their contents in the "scenery" subfolder of "mesh Alps LOD10 by Ferranti & Sandmann".Sorry about the confusion. However, it doesn't really matter whether you have them listed separately or not; there's no way this could cause any problems in the sim.Cheers, Holger
