Unsupported Operation error message

Recommended Posts

A few days ago I upgraded my Windows 10 to the newest version,1709 that is.

Now I encounter a problem  when using the PMDG-737.

When I switch Time and Season to a different setting I get

an error message " An unsupported operation was attempted".

I have no choice but to click on ok which closes the program

I wonder if anybody uses Windows 10 version 1709 and if

there are any problems.

Thank you

Paul12

Hi,

I was getting the Error creating child window which seems to have stopped and I am now getting this problem. FSX has just become very unstable with the 737 after the windows update.

I rolled version 1709 back and everything works fine.Hopefully the bugs in 1709 get fixed which encourages me to switch to 1709 again

Hi Paul12

"When I switch Time and Season to a different setting I get an error message " An unsupported operation was attempted".
and I have exactly the same problem.
I got it on QualityWings 787 (a new and superb sim)
Have only made one flight with PMDG 737, that one worked.

I also had "creating child window"

I use to start every flight by launching a flight with a FSX-built in aircraft, and then I load my intentional flight.
That might help out a bit.

So far the typical situation(--unsupported operation---) is leaving the long distance flight going on for hours, and then getting back, the problem occurs.

I really hope that a coming fix for the 1709 update will help out all problems

I had the same error message from windows 10 version 1709. It did the problem for FSX and maybe for other applications. Returned windows 10 version 1709 to the previous and voila! no more error problems with FSX. The working good windows 10 version is 1703.
