Problem with aliasing panel

Featured Replies

Hi All:I d/loaded the Ultimative Boeing Panel v2.1 by Florian Kreuzer. It's designed for 1280 X 1024, which I'm running. My problem is this: I installed the new 'Panel' folder into a 'Panel Alias' folder and added the 'alias= ' line to the chosen aircraft's panel folder. When I open said aircraft to fly, the aliased panel covers the entire screen, black with various guages scattered about. However, when I place the new Panel folder into the aircraft folder, with no aliasing, it works perfectly.I've had this problem attempting to alias other panels, so I must be doing something wrong, but what? Thanks,Bob

Hi Bob,It looks to me that the aliased panel is missing the .BMP file. What you describe is typical for a missing bitmap. But unfortunately I don't know what you do wrong.Jozef K. http://homepages.onsnet.nu/~jkusters/signature.jpg

Thanks Jozef,I'll root around inside the files and see what I can see.Bob

Put the panel file in the folder fsfsconv in the main AIRCRAFT folder of FlightSimulator. If you dont have that folder, create it. Name the panel anything you like, for example, panel.B737_Default. In the panel.cfg of the aircraft you're flying, make sure the panel.cfg contains ONLY the following text, with brackets around the abbreviation "fltsim":fltsimalias=FSFSConvpanel.B737_DefaultWorks for me!http://www.graphics-free.com/animations/tr...ges/plane_6.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZBaltimore, MD
