cs_b757_panel.zip - Anyone tried it?

Featured Replies

Anyone installed this great looking freeware panel (uploaded here yesterday) for the Captain Sim 757?I've tried a couple of times, but just get CTD. Looks really good.

It's very problematic on my end as well... tried 3 times to install... first time missing rp gauges... second time ctd.. third time no fonts in VC... I give up :(Tim

Apparently this is a hit and miss type of situation. I had problems with the panel only because I did not install it correctly, I did not install the fssound.dll. You must install that dll into your modules folder or you get multiple other dll dysfunctions. The only other CTD I got was in incorrect Sandel 3400 gauge. The panel author offers the wrong version gauge for the current Reality XP release, but that was an easy fix. As for the VC, it must be realized that the VC is still the original one done by CS and does not match the gauges on the freeware 2D panel whatsoever. True, the fonts on the 2D are funky, no doubt about it. It's a very very retro 757 panel, but having said that, worked great from my end. At the very least guys, we are all waiting for Level-D's or PSS's 757's. THis is just a stop-gap plaything albeit the externals cost $$.Randy Jura, KPDX

I won't be going anywhere near the PSS 757! I'm still trying to get a refund on the T7 i got from them.... almost unflyable - on my setup at least. Patch been FIVE months in the making, but still no sign of it.

That is very sad to hear, my PSS T7 works fine save one start up quirk I've had, what has been your problem with it, if I might ask?Randy Jura, KPDX

I've got the panel working on my FTD 757, however the trim audio is constantly blaring away, also warning alarm that goes off for whatever reason when power is applied beyond a certain point(taxi/take-off,etc.). Any way to shut these down? Thanks(pretty nice panel BTW)

That be very loooooooooong and involved. If you're REALLY interested, then head over the PSS forum, where you can read mine and many like it :-(

Sounds like trim is out of configuration, but that's what you've already likely tried to adjust.Randy Jura, KPDX
