November 8, 20178 yr Many thanks to Lorby for this great tool very useful for P3D4 I have installed several addons (planes or sceneries) without difficulty, except that when the scenery contains files to be placed in scenery / world or scenery / global I do not understand the method to insert them. Could you tell me how? Thank you in advance
November 9, 20178 yr Commercial Member Hi, these are just scenery files. Being in "World" or "Global" just means that they have the lowest possible layer number. There are at least two ways to add them, please check out this thread: Best regards LORBY-SI
November 9, 20178 yr Author I begin to understand ! Please a question about layers numbering Currently on my P3D4 "Scenery/World" is at layer 001 and "scenery/Global" is at layer 119 Should I choose these same layers numbers or create new layers ? If news layers, I suppose these new layers should be near to the 001 layer for World files and 119 for Global files? Many thanks !!!
November 9, 20178 yr Commercial Member Hi, don't confuse the area number, the priority and the layer. Those all look pretty much alike, but they are different aspects of the scenery library. Personally I think that scenery components that contain BGLs that used to go into the sims base folders should be at layer 2 (former Scenery\World) or 3 (former Scenery\Base) when using the P4AO. November 9, 20178 yr Author Hello Oliver I think everything is correct now. For example to place the "World" files of my different sceneries: - I create a folder named "Addons_scenery_world" containing 2 subfolders "scenery" and "texture" - I place in these subfolders all the "world" files of my sceneries - with P4AO I declare my folder "Addons_scenery_world" as a scenery with layer 2 Everything seems to work ! Thanks a lot for your help ! Best regards
