FS9 UPDATE AND AUTOGEN BAK FILE

Featured Replies

Good morning,Just a short question. Like many of us, I used to rename to autogen bak.file in fs9 root folder, and change fs9.cfg texte for vecture objects to 0, this used to increase slightly fps in my old pc. (see fs9 tips and tricks).Considering that one of the major improvement of the fs9.1 update is based on a better memory usage for autogen, do you think it's still ok to rename the bak.file or could it have a bad impact on the update improvement ? It this file concerned ?Hope you will get my english. Thanks for your time,Regards from SwizerlandPatrickPMDG 737 fan

Patrick - I still rename the file. Even with the 9.1 update I get 25% better framerates with that autogen file renamed. I also continue to set TERRAIN_USE_VECTOR_OBJECTS to zero. I don't think there is any impact on the 9.1 improvements from doing this. I would recommend renaming it, or not, depending on which way gives the best framerate.Doug
