Carenado C208B EX and GTN 750 (partially working solution)

Featured Replies

Hi!

I made a quick and dirty integration of RXP GTN 750 into Carenado C208B Grand Caravan EX (glass cockpit).

This fix is based on another fix for F1 GTN by Jeff Smith (but does not require it).

What is working:
- almost everything (most knobs, DTO button, autopilot integration, transponder, etc)
(note for FSX users: if touch screen isn't working, disable "Instrument reflections" from the aircraft menu SHIFT+3)

What is NOT working:
- "Menu" button. I don't know which code Carenado using for this event. Someone more tech-savvy, like Ryan, might be able to fix this in a minute.

Original Carenado GNS is still accessible by clicking on "Garmin" title on the bezel.

How to install: extract archive and copy RealityXP.GTN.ini and "panel" folder into "\SimObjects\Airplanes\Carenado C208B_Grand_Caravan_EX"

Even more quick and dirty update to the original file, just to make it compatible with the latest v2.1 for P3Dv4.

Download

Known issues:

- Bezel buttons aren't clickable anymore (probably because the gauge is using outdated pre-2.5.0 RXP variables)

- Top row of GTN buttons (active COM/NAV frequencies, Audio Panel, MIC, XPDR) are covered by the original G1000 MFD's clickspot, and therefore not clickable in VC (I'll try to fix this later)
