>>The flightplans are inaccurate and the airports are half empty.Well there's the possible reason for the FPS improvement with UT over some of the other packages.

There certainly are some inaccuracies with UT, you'll get no argument from me there. I don't think it's quite as bad as you make it out to be though. The scale of processing the data from 900+ airlines is a task that would curb even my enthusiasm, :) .You will not find a more complete set of plans anywhere, and in my opinion, UT provides an excellent base for customization, as you can always just not assign aircraft to an airline you care about, and instead find another set of plans that suit your needs for said airline. To put it another way, I don't care, for example, if UT has perfect fleet utilzation for the current Air Berlin fleet, as long as it's close, and not overly inefficient. It's just not an area I spend much time in.I have, on the other hand, spent alot of time customizing Japan, using some of the fleet packs available here in the library, and it was a very simple task to remove the assignments I wanted from UT, and install more accurate sets that would allow for customization down to the individual registration. It's a long process to ready the plans for FS use, and often, by the time a schedule has been pulled, processed, and made available, errors are compounded by obsolesence, but the face of commercial avaiation changes on a daily basis, and no set of plans, at least on a scale that large, will remain valid for long.OK, this is starting to sound like a UT commercial, which is certainly not what I intend. I guess I just feel, that other than a few gimmicky items, everything since UT has done very little to make any real improvements, and when compared side-by-side, over the features that matter, UT, with a healthy dose of Aardvark, etc., comes away on top.

Sure Paul. You'll need to back up your aircraft, any lightmap textures in the FS9/texture folder, and the Data folder from the Ultimate Terrain directory. You could also back up the Traffic.bgl to avoid having to recompile after reinstalling, but that's not a requirement. The UT/Data folder contains the schedule data, and the data that synchs UT with your FS install, to put it simply. To reinstall, all that's needed then is to: - Install UT with the updates and schedules that were in use when you made your backup. Make sure to run it once you've reached this point, to let it do it's thing, just don't compile anything or make any changes. - Overwrite the freshly installed Data folder with your backup. - Reinstall your aircraft/lightmap textures. If you have also backed up the traffic.bgl, drop that in the SceneryWorldscenery folder, and you should be all set. If not, once UT has been reinstalled and updated, and the Data folder has been overwritten, you will need to compile through UT.Hope this helps.
