Display problem

Hi,I have a weird texture blanking/flashing. I have a movie available http://roehr-pty-ltd.com/fs9.wmv (its only 500kb).Specs:AMD X2 4200+GeForce 7800GTWin XP Pro1GB RAM

Have you got AA enabled on the board, does it do the same if its disabled?Paul.

Hi,It's set to Application-Controlled, should I set it to off or is that OK?Thanks.

AA/AF should be OFF in FS. and ON on the card. Let the card do the work.

Hey guys,Thanks for the help. I tried both ways but the problem is still there.

I notice with my Nvidia6800GT AGP card, if AA is set to anything less than 8x, I get a flashing effect at times, nothing like the problem your video shows. Your problem looks like a texture loading delay. Hope this helps.

Hi Jeff,Thanks for the suggestion but it didn't work for me. Thanks for trying anyway =)

looks like your video card is over-worked and can't pre-load the textures. Thus it's only loading it after you switch to spot view. You have a good video card and system, so this might be due to super-high res texture (all 1024x1024 32 bit). Are you using the airport enviroment upgrade?-fz

Hey,Im not using an upgrade, that's a default FS2004 airport. The thing it doesnt just do it once, it does it constantly every few seconds and even when im looking out of the cockpit it does it outside, but not on the actual cockpit controls.

Hi,Try this: Set your Render to Texture the opposite it is now.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development TeamActive Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter

Hey Jim,Thanks for the suggestion but didn't help. Looks like a hard one to crack ;)Weird thing is never happened on my old computer which was a P4 2.8HT with 512MB RAM and a GeForce3.

Are you by chance running a dual core processor? I find that I sometimes get similar effects, so right clicking on fs9 in Windows Task Manager and setting affinity for only one processor stops the problem. It also actually stops some stutters.Larry N.

What drivers are you using for your 6800gt? I had problems with my displays in the sim and could only cure it by changing drivers, the ones that work the best for ME are 71.89.Paul.
