December 23, 20178 yr Commercial Member Happy Holidays! So unexpectedly my trusty ol' GeForce 780 finally bit the dust (actually not that impressed as it only lasted 3 1/2 years). So I had to make a quick Xmas present for myself and picked up an EVGA GeForce 1080 SC. Can't wait to see how she performs in P3Dv4. I am running three 27" 1080 displays. One will use the HDMI, 2nd will use the DVI. For the 3rd I have to use one of the display ports. Can I get by with a "passive" DP-2-DVI adapter or must it be "active"? Any first-hand accounts appreciated.
