If I were you, make your career course away from the airline industry.You will most likely never get a job with a major, there are so many techs on layoff waiting/wanting to get recalled back.Two of my close friends went into the automotive field here in Dallas years after I started in the airline industry, one is close to making $100,000 a year and the other has past it.They both went to the BMW step program to start. http://www.bmwstep.com/defaultFlash.aspYou will never make a reasonable pay-rate after all the airline cost cutting is finished, if it ever is.Painkiller said it well.Good luck!
