April 25, 200620 yr Is there a good program to add repaints to fs9.1,can this be automated.I have added a number of repaints and at times they just mess up the installIf an original fs aircraft becomes corrupted can i reinstall it without reloading all of fs.thank you
April 25, 200620 yr The best way to safeguard yourself against corrupted data is to take a backup copy of your whole FS9 directory RIGHT after installing and patching it to 9.1.This way, if you ever find yourself in a situation where you run into mysterious crashes or other errors, you can simply delete your FS9 directory and make a copy of the "clean" backup copy in its place (no need to uninstall / reinstall, as long as you keep the folder's name and location the same).
April 25, 200620 yr Author Flightsim Manager has the ability to automatically install repaints:http://www.ranainside.com/software_flightsim_manager.htmlIt will also run diagnostic checks on the aircraft.cfg file to find errors. Another tool is Aircraft Analyzer 2005:http://aifs.pvdveen.net/This also scans the aircraft.cfg file for common problems with installed textures, such as non-sequential fltsim.x entries, missing texture folders, duplicate titles etc. Matthew Spedding
