Hey everyone, I am still waiting on my new system. My current system is very messed up. CTD's all the time. I recently installed Flightsim Manager2.85. When I scanned for duplicate textures, it found around 9 or 10 files. I renamed them with FSM 2.85. Can duplicate textures in the scenery cause CTD's no matter where I fly? Most of my CTD's are in the USA. I am at the end of my rope with this system. I have tried everything, spending over 80 hrs in the last two weeks. No joke. If I can just get things stable until my new system is complete, I would be very satisfied. The withdrawl from FS9 is making me nuts. I am hoping the duplicate scenery textures are it. I also have Ulimate terrain USA and GE installed. This is why I ask. Thanks.

Sorry to hear you're still having CTD's. Thought you would have resolved that a long time ago. I have several duplicate textures too per FltSim Manager but never renamed them. No CTD's. Are you still receiving CTD's even after removing your dup textures? I have UT USA and GE installed and there are no conflicts. There are many, many causes of FS9 CTD's as you well know. Bad installs of video card drivers; duplicate AFCAD's are just a couple of problems fellow simmers have discovered. I strongly suggest doing a clean uninstall and reinstall of FS9 and check for CTD's after an install of each piece of addon scenery/aircraft to help pinpoint your CTD's. I know I was getting a CTD everytime I touched the kneeboard and that frustrated me for several weeks until I did a complete uninstall and reinstall of FS9. When I restarted FS9 w/o adding anything, I still had a CTD when opening the kneeboard. I reinstalled my video card drivers and the CTD's stopped! I guess it was a bad install of the video card drivers even though Windows and DirectX diagnosis stated there were no problems with my video card installation.
