Path to FS9

Featured Replies

Folks, I have a problem that some of you may have encountered before. Perhaps you can help me with it.All of a sudden the path to FS9 seems to have changed in my registry. At least, that's my guess.I have been trying to reinstall some of my aircraft that I had not reinstalled since my last reinstall of FS9. They won't install because they say the path to FS9 could not be found.Fs9 is installed in the default location and has always been. Last time I reinstalled it, I accepted the default location of c:program filesmicrosoft gamesFlight Simulator 9 just as always. Yet, the installers for my aircraft can't find it. When an installer gives me the choice to browse to it, and I do so, it still says it can't find it.Can someone point me in the right direction to solve that problem? There are some great planes I'd like to put back into my hangar. Thanks a lot.Dewey

The TweakFS Path Utility might fix it.http://tweakfs.com/ look for Free Utilities on the left and download FS9 reg Path tool.

Something you installed might have changed it. Or something messed up your registry in general. If you look under LOCAL_MACHINE and go to the SOftware - Microsoft - Microsoft games section you should find the sim's registry entry. You can manually change it back to what it is supposed to be.
