May 3, 200620 yr Hello,Just a sim pilot here who lost some interest in flying GA and "liners" so I am giving helo's a try. I had a few payware versions from NEMETH and I learned how to start them up and fly them "sort of OK".I just got the DODOSIM Bell 206 ADV - what a blast. This seems to be the best modeled aircraft I have ever tried. It is a hoot to start-up. It is totally unforgiving in startup technique. It is equally unforgiving in flight technique for all phases of operation. I am at the point that I can takeoff about 80% of the time and land only about 20% of the time without incident. The stick, pedals and visual activity are consuming. You are at it 100% of the time to fly this bird. Weather and wind are another factor - I started without weather and am just able to takeoff with real weather active. If you are a little tired of day-to-day simming - give this a try. The DODOSIM is pricey if you go for the advanced version but, in my case, it is totally worth the investment. Also, the support from the DODOSIM forum is great - very tutorial and always helpful - my hat's off to those involved. Thanks in advance,Ron SagelNEAR KCHSHelo pilot in training

May 3, 200620 yr Ya its great, although i have yet to get it of the ground :-8 (in one piece) , so anybody want realism, Dodo is the way to Do it :(
May 3, 200620 yr Author Hello,Check out the most recent NEWBIE posts on their forum - they are all mine! The help I received was first rate.I still have some problems but I just completed my first flight of 20 miles, at about 2000 ft and actually landed at the destination - BY THE SEAT OF MY PANTS! I used their posted help to me and it was of great help. Thank goodness this is only a sim - heart rate goes way up around 200 feet off the ground and decent rate of 200 fpm.I switched back to my old MS Sidewinder stick (use CH pedals) - the collective management on my newer SAITEK 52 is too hard to manage. The sidewinder has a collective lever right next to my thumb. Also - their setup for the FS9 is mandatory for all items - the parameters of this sim are really fine tuned.Happy flying and cheers,Ron SagelNEAR KCHS
