P3Dv4 gone walkabout...

Featured Replies

Never had any issues with FSX until the October W10 update when (even after only 30 minutes or so) I started  having frequent OOM issues.

Soooo to the dark side come have I :)

I run a three-screen generic cockpit - screens in pyramid formation with low-left being the default/main and on which I set up P3D; low-right for FSCommander and top-screen (40") for scenery/views ahead from the cockpit.

I had P3D running on all cylinders with FSC, RC4, AS16, and all three-screens performing as required.

However, since yesterday after the sim is set up instead of starting on the default (low-left) waiting to be undocked and moved to the 40" it now loads onto my TV-screen - full size......

The thing is it is still in Windowed mode although I can't grab and move it in order to re-size etc...It was running OK and I was able to undock and move bits around - but now...the image will not undock as before - just stares back at me defiant like

I have tried Alt + Enter to move in and out of windowed mode - all I manage is to remove the tool bar!

I had a similar situation a few weeks back when LittleNavMap (pre P3D) determined to start up in the ether with only a short piece displayed.

With some guidance I was able to put it back in its box using Alt + Space +R then  Alt + Space + M to grab and move it back home.

I have tried this with the current P3D situation without success.

I always make a point of closing the sim by re-docking etc and putting everything back into the default/low right screen before closing down.

Any/all suggestions welcome.

Thanks in anticipation,

Ken ;)

Sorted :)

After posting here...had a thought (my head hurts)...

Went into Nvidia settings - changed resolution on the 40" screen which made the image a tad smaller which made the white bar at the top of the image visible ~~~ was then able to grab the bar and move it...

Dragged the sides of the image etc then dragged image to default screen and closed P3D.

Started P3D ~~~ now runs on default screen but can now be dragged to 40" screen.
