Question regarding Recorder Module file

Featured Replies

Hi,I see a lot of posts about the "Recorder Module" and I am wondering if you can, and if anyone has, uploaded any "Recorder Module" files. Since I only have a 56K modem, for me, downloading big avi files are a hassle. So I was hoping these files could be downloaded, placed into my FS2004, and then I would be able watch other people's flights. I think it would be great to view landings, takeoffs, etc for particular planes. In this way, we could learn by watching. Thanks in advance,

I'm a HUGE fan of Matthias's module. The new save and edit multiple tower views option is GREAT. Every flightsim user should get and use this program. Best freeware ~200K for FS2004 I've seen....The file is not large, less than 200K as I recall. A 56K modem should be fine. And the zip file was posted here in the avsim library just a few days ago - a 1.05 final, and a 1.2 beta.Viewing other people's flights.... I don't see why this wouldn't be possible, but if you didn't have the same plane I guess the replay would just show whatever plane the new user/viewer selected. (A C-5 onto a carrier, anyone? ;-) I don't know if this aircraft issue would present problems or not, but my strong hunch is no. The module just records flight control movements, position, engine, radios, lights, etc., so I don't see why the recorded flights couldn't be replayed on others' machines,m with whatever aircraft.... (Actually, now I can confirm this. I just replayed an F-14 carrier landing video with an A-6, and there were no problems.)
