430 V.2 Add-Ons Menu?

Featured Replies

I've previously installed and am currently using with no isues the 530 GNS v.1 (ie: legacy).

I just purchased and installed the 430 GNS v.2. The installation said it completed successfully.

A compelling reason to buy the v.2 GNS was the statement from the website touting the new panel installation process.

The website references that in the Add-Ons menu within FSX should show 'Reality XP GNS' as a menu option , and that a user should be able "to add or remove GNS unit to your aircraft panel...no need to edit the panel.cfg files or restart the simulator".

I'm not seeing this option show when I unhide the menu bar in FSX. I do see the Add-Ons menu appear if I'm running my virtual reality simulations program (F-18 Superbug) which adds aircraft carriers, etc. No Reality XP option.

If I don't run the VRS program at FSX start up, there is no Add-Ons menu on the menu bar.

Am I missing something? Any suggestions for resolving?

Thanks!

Hi,

Can you please post the content of the RXP log files (see user's manual for file/path)?

A missing menu usually mean a missing/damaged SimConnect installation. You might want to review your installation disks (FSXA/SP2) for reinstalling SimConnect FSX-SP2?

Otherwise, for FSX-SE:

"SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces\FSX-XPACK\SimConnect.msi"

Hi, you might want to review these as well:
