First, thanks for this great program and ... excuse me for my bad english ^^

 

1. LINDA application version : v3.0.5.735

2. LINDA aircraft module : PMDG 737NGX

3. Prepar3D v4.0

4. Aircraft : PMDG B737-600/700/800/900 NGX v1.20.8414

5. What were you trying to do : Use my MCP to command the autopilot

6. Description of what the problem is :

- Everything work perfectly on FSX since many years

- I buy and install P3D v.4 yesterday,

- I install FSUIPC v5.103 (i also try with v5.123c but i know that version doesn't work)

- I install LINDA 1.13 then upgrade with last version (i also try just with the last version but the LINDA header list is almost empty)

- I uninstall et install the MCP combo 2 (boeing) drivers (when i launch the game, vri and serial FP2 doesnt work)

- I launch LINDA (everything is green but the first item is red because i dont plug a yoke)

-I launch P3D and start a new game with the raptor and then launch a PMDG plane

- The MCP display the correct informations of the PMDG autopilot --> when i move knobs in the pmdg, the MCP display correctly upadte the informations

- When i move the knobs of my MCP, his display update correctly BUT that didn't update the autopilot display in the pmdg

 

Could you try to help me please ?

Thank you for your report. If your MCP worked with FSX then there is no reason for it not to work with P3Dv4 and FSUIPC 5.123c. It is exactly the set up I have working perfectly for me. We’re you using LINDA 3.0,5 with FSX? LINDA 1.13 will not work with P3Dv4: it needs the latest versions of LINDA 3.0.5 and FSUIPC 5.123c.

There was no need to uninstall/reinstall the VRi drivers. You must ensure that VriSim is not running.

Have you copied across the old configuration files from your FSX installation to the new P3D (/modules/linda-cfg/aircrafts/PMDG737NGX). You need to copy config-hid.lua and config-MCP2.lua. It is also useful to copy config-hid.lua from /modules/linda-cfg/system. Without this files correctly configured no knob or button input with be actioned.

I fly with FSX until 2015 so i don't remember the version of LINDA and i don't have the old file.

I go to reinstall correctly LINDA 3.0.5, FSUIPC 2.123c and uninstall Serial FP2 and VRI.

Then i look ti the different file you share and tell you the result.

Ok so,

I reinstall correctly FSUIPC, LINDA and PMDG. The files "config-hid.lua", "config-MCP2" and "/modules/linda-cfg/aircrafts/PMDG737NGX" are missing.

I try to use my MCP in the raptor with the "FSX DEFAULT" profile but the problem is still the same.

Could you upload the missing files for me ? if you can't, i will install FSX and try to fix my problem.

I need to ask what version of Combo MCP you are using. Is it the original (MCP1), Boeing (MCP2) or Airbus (MCP2a)? I suspect you have the MCP1.

Please ensure that you have install the latest version of the PMDG 737NGX module ver 4.11. This can be done automatically using the Maintenance page - please read release notes for the correct procedure. In /modules/linda-cfg/aircrafts/PMDG 737NGX folder you should find 4 .default files (including config-mcp.default, config-mcp2.default and config-mcp2a.default). These contain the correct default settings for the 3 MCP panels. If you have a config-mcpX.lua file present then delete it and restart LINDA GUI and then P3D (X is the panel type). This will create a new config-mcpX.lua which should be correct. You need to do the same delete and recreation procedure with /modules/linda-cfg/aircrafts/fsx default.

If this does not solve the problem please follow the fault diagnosis procedure and email me your config-mcpX.lua and fsuipc5.log files.

I install the PMDG 737NGX module ver 4.11 and delete the config-mcpX.lua file and it's work.

For finish, i just need to configure LINDA with the PMDG NGX functions.
