Weird problem - Pause Button will...

Featured Replies

Pause facility stopped working yesterday; it's worked fine for 8 years and a series of Keyboards :) - now it's 'on strike'. It's strange how much you miss it when it's gone. Can anyone help please?KenSomerset, England

Do you mean the "Pause" key or the "P" key which FS uses to pause the sim?If the latter, is the "P" key working in other apps ok? Check that the key assignment has not been altered or deleted. If all else fails, locate the FS9.CFG file and make a backup to another location, then delete the original and start FS9, so that it will create a new factory default FS9.CFG, with default key assignments.

Hi Ken, In response let me add this---Cowl flap operation suddenly changed and the under carriage started lowering when I clicked the key I'd set. Going into 'Assignments' and changing it again didn't seem to make any difference!! so I changed the cowl flap key and it works again, but with the new key!Odd. Maybe it's a bug. Sorry this is no help.Andy.

Hello Graeme,Sorry, yes it's the "P" key used to pause the sim.I'll have a go at the Fs9.cfg file and report back asap.Ken

Hello Graeme,By a strange coincidence.....i had 'spare' Fs9.cfg file - so I had a look through that and found the missing line, which is =PAUSE_TOGGLE=80,8 - that cured the problem. I don't know how that line went 'missing' in the first place, but all is well now.Thank you for your help, I much appreciate it.Ken
