It must surely be because the engine quits with a terrifying BANG!! just like the earlier version did... :-badteeth It's a wonderful freeware package, exquisite model, beautiful 2D panel, quite nice VC with 3D gauge needle tech, great sound but strange enough no pilot inside...( or he/she must be hiding under the seat..:( ) Flight model seems nice too but needs constant aileron trim to keep it from banking left. There's an elev trim knob on the panel but i'll be keelhauled if i can find one for ailerons and rudder... There's a fantastic flight manual to download but a short note from the designer about the panel and some of its functions and how to deal with the engine quitting all the time would be very welcome. The manual says not to use more then '70% nominal' engine power beneath 3 KM in order not to overheath it. I tried using even less ( i think... ) but still the engine says BANG!! after about 6 minutes flight. As with the former version i have yet to land this Yak with a still functioning engine. Intriguing ! :)Pity too because it's one lovely little aeroplane !Anybody has any success keeping the engine purring for more then 6 minutes let's hear it ! Cheers,Jan

I fly this great plane regularly and if you keep the CHT below 240 deg after take-off the engine will not quit. Also keep the cowl flaps open to help cooling. In the attached screenshot, gauge A is the CHT showing the CHT at just under 200 and B is the RPM at about 1900.
