Installation Issues

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I downloaded the ZIP file from simMarket, installed the software from the installer, but now I can't see the aircraft in FSX.  Where am I supposed to install the aircraft to?  I've downloaded it to 3 different places.  The Load Manager works, but can't access the aircraft in FSX.

Cheers!

Hi,

Durning the installation at the end it should ask you to point the installation to your FSx folder, can you confirm you are setting it to (C:/program files/Steam/Steamapps/Common/ Fsx {or your relavant directory}) and selecting the Fsx.exe icon in that folder?

Thanks

Thanks for the response!

I have the standard version of FSX, not FSX SE.  Should it go into Program Files/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/ ?  It would go straight into this folder?  Or a more specific folder?  Thanks!

Yes sir, except that FSX should not be installed in the location you've specified. It should be in the Program Files X86 folder by default.

I'm sure you're aware of the advice about not installing FSX to the Program Files X86 folder, and that since you're using that folder you've adjusted your folder permissions.

Best wishes.
