Decision to make on 777

I just had this topic of discussion with a friend who has most of what can be described as a home built B744 cockpit... not much good when flying the 777 or 737 and less so with the DC6 or JS41.  i suspect the decision process involved in how much money should be spent locking one self into a specific airframe must be difficult. 

If I had that much money left to get an actual home cockpit (I'd probably go for the 737 or A320) I would have another PC with another installation with all the other addons :D
