The police that came out interviewed me and asked me to profile the type of person who would steal a Unix server. From what I learned from my client, I suggested to the police that it was an inside job, and the person likely did not know too much about Unix servers, since they were all locked down with hardware and software passwords. I do not know if they ever solved the crime, we shipped a replacement server to the client and I proceeded in setting up and training them on their network hardware and software. They were nice people, and so were the police that I tried to help. John
