Trim Strange Behaviour When Landing

Featured Replies

Hi,I am not new to flight simming, bit I've been absent (don't know if that's the right term) from this hobby for a while. I got back recently, purchased the Coolsky Super 80, read the manuals and started flying again! Anyway, the reason I am back on this forum is to seek some help. Let me try to describe the problem I am experiencing.I am on finals, with the a/p Loc and GS engaged. At some point, usually around 500 to 1000 feet I disconnect the a/p and fly the finals manually. The problems is that, around 100-200 feet from ground, the trim starts moving in a very strange manner, back and forth and i have to fight against it just as if some crazy guy was trying to bring the plane down. This is something that only happens when landing on an ILS equipped runway (and with the help from the a/p), and not when doing a complete manual visual landing. I do usually manage to gain control but this is really frustrating. I tried to get some help at the coolsky forum but it seems it's me the only one experiencing this. I not sure about this (it's been a long time), but I remember having experienced this sometime before either with FS 2002 or with FS 2004 (and having solved it, just don't remember how :)!)Hope someone could help me with this, thanks in advance,HenriqueCaracas, Venezuela

I've seen this sometimes if the Flight Director remains engaged, but with a third party product they may have deviated some the way the standard a/p operates.-John

The F/D remains on. I haven't tried with original fs airplanes to check if it has something to do with the way third parites use the a/p. I 've heard that this problem might have something to do with the a/p un trimming the plane or something like that, but i wonder if there is a succesful solution to this,Henrique
