March 11, 20188 yr Hello to all. Does anyone here have FS Force? More specifically, do you use a MSFFB2 joystick? If you have ever experienced frequent loss of forces I’d like to hear from you! Or if you have both the program with the joystick, and have never had an issue, I’d like to hear from you as well. Thanks! Edited March 11, 20188 yr by Deltaair1212
March 11, 20188 yr As I said in reply to your other post in the Windows 10 forum, I have both FS Force and a MS FFB2 joystick. I have occasionally (very infrequently) experienced a loss of forces but they are quickly restored by using the "ReInitialize FS Force" option from the FSX Add-ons>FS Force drop-down menu. Overall, I couldn't be happier with FS Force - it really transforms the forces in FSX. i7-14700k | Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F Gaming WIFI | 32GB DDR5 RAM | MSI RTX 4080 Super | WD Black SN850X 1TB & 2TB | Corsair HX1000i ATX3.0 | MSI MAG401QR 40" monitor | Win 11 Pro 64-bit | Meta Quest 3

Or do you ever start your a flight and the forces are not correct at the very beginning after the flight loads?

On the very rare occasion that i lose forces in flight, reinitialising has always fully restored them. i7-14700k | Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F Gaming WIFI | 32GB DDR5 RAM | MSI RTX 4080 Super | WD Black SN850X 1TB & 2TB | Corsair HX1000i ATX3.0 | MSI MAG401QR 40" monitor | Win 11 Pro 64-bit | Meta Quest 3
March 12, 20188 yr Author That’s the problem I’m having. Something isn’t right and I’ve been searching high and low to pinpoint the problem. I upgraded my GPU. No luck. Upgraded my sim. No luck. Bought another FFB2 stick. Still the same issues. I’m convinced the problem is actually DirectX. I hace DX12. Do you have that as well?

However, neither FSX nor P3D uses DX12 - it's just there in case it's needed by another game. i7-14700k | Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F Gaming WIFI | 32GB DDR5 RAM | MSI RTX 4080 Super | WD Black SN850X 1TB & 2TB | Corsair HX1000i ATX3.0 | MSI MAG401QR 40" monitor | Win 11 Pro 64-bit | Meta Quest 3
March 12, 20188 yr FSX supports DX9 and DX10. P3D supports DX11. i7-14700k | Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F Gaming WIFI | 32GB DDR5 RAM | MSI RTX 4080 Super | WD Black SN850X 1TB & 2TB | Corsair HX1000i ATX3.0 | MSI MAG401QR 40" monitor | Win 11 Pro 64-bit | Meta Quest 3
March 12, 20188 yr Author I think the problem might be that since I have DX12 installed on my computer, FS Force cannot function properly as it’s only compatible with DX11 and down. I wonder if you can disable DX12, or roll it back without messing with windows 10...
March 12, 20188 yr Sims only use the version of DirectX they are designed for. Having DX12 on your system will only affect games and apps that need it. As I said earlier, I have DX12 installed and FS Force works well for me so it's unlikely that this is the cause of your problems. Do all of the forces work correctly when you use the ForceTest app that's available from the FS Force support page?
