Multiple Altitude callouts

Featured Replies

Hello, I´ve been having this problem (also in the 777) where i hear 2 different voices do the altitude callouts when landing, one after the other so one would say 50 and when it finishes the 2nd would say 50 again. It´s quite annoying and i´m sure it´s just a CDU option i should deselect (like the V1 that can be made by either the plane or the 2nd officer) but for the life of me i can´t find it.

Could you help a blind man resolve this "problem"?

I wonder if you're using RAAS and maybe RAAS is making those callouts. I'm not sure if RAAS has that capability, though, so I'm just guessing. I'm not really sure what other add-ons you might have that could possibly throw callouts in there.

I´m using RAAS but i think it does not make altitude callouts, furthermore it only happens with certain liveries as the Delta ones both in 777 and 747, but the Cargolux one doesn´t, that´s what leads me to belive is a CDU option issue. I´m also not using any addon that makes callouts. Thank you for the reply anyways

I made a video in my last flight so you know exactly what i mean. You can hear the repeated callout at 1000, 100, 30, 20. Yo may notice stutters but that´s because KLAX is taxing enough by itself and screencapping makes it much worse.

Maybe it's your ACARS system if you simulate with a VA. If so, disable the GPWS system in the settings.

That was it Benzhangar, i usually fly in vamsys airlines and they have the callouts. I would have sweared i had disabled the sounds but apparently i missed Delta smartacars....  I did a couple test landings since your comment and when i disable the smartacars sound the double callouts stop and if i enable it they come back again.

Thank you so so much, you are a saint.  I was so convinced it was something with the callouts without the sim that totally grossed over .
