April 23, 20188 yr Apparently Intel is looking at using the integrated GPU in their 6th/7th/8th gen CPUs to carry out antivirus scanning. They say that this should reduce the CPU load to as little as 2%. April 24, 20188 yr The only problem I see with this AV needs to be updated to the latest threats just like the O/S, would this mean you would somehow have to have an intel software programme running as well. Raymond Fry.

My reading of this is that you would just run code adapted by the antivirus developer to use the GPU processing power instead of the CPU. i7-14700k | Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F Gaming WIFI | 32GB DDR5 RAM | MSI RTX 4080 Super | WD Black SN850X 1TB & 2TB | Corsair HX1000i ATX3.0 | MSI MAG401QR 40" monitor | Win 11 Pro 64-bit | Meta Quest 3
