I am an avid simmer and an instrument rated pilot.  The new VR version of X-Plane is a game changer for me.  I live in an airpark community west of Chicago and we have a published VOR/GPS approach.  With X-Plane 11.2 I can shoot the approach to minimums and it is totally real!  

I made the video real time and was tempted to edit it, but decided to keep the whole approach.  It is about 10 min long.  I have marked in the "read more" section various "jumps" you can make to the different points.
