May 4, 20188 yr Hello, I have a strange brake issue. The brakes always look up and I smoke the tires when taxing and landing. If I just press the brakes they lock up and I see black smoke coming from the main gear. I have also noticed that when I land and use MIN Auto Brakes the airplane comes to a stop withing about 1000 feet and I smoke the tires. What I'm doing now is opting to not use auto brakes, using REV until about 80-70 knots, then applying manual brakes in small spurts as to not smoke the tires. I haven't had this issue on any other airplane. Is there anything that can be done about this? Is it something that I'm doing wrong? I'm using FSX-SE, Maddog X-32Bit Edition 1.10 Logitech Extreme 3D PRO. Thanks for your help Reik Namreg
May 4, 20188 yr I have also noticed the same behavior related to auto brakes. Regardless of setting, the aircraft comes to a screeching halt upon landing and of course results in the brakes over heating. Even if I disengage the auto brakes relatively soon after touch down, it is still sometimes enough to overheat the brakes. I should also add that I'm on FSX:SE. -Josh Edited May 4, 20188 yr by nwadc9
