  1. THANK YOU BRYAN I've been disconnected from my simulator for over a year :( however I do log in from time to time to see what's cooking. I'm very, actually extremely happy that you took the time out of your busy schedule to create a Button Edition for this great airplane. It's awesome that you listen to your faithful customers. I absolutely despise talking to my computer, I talk enough as it is Now with this button edition I'll be able to enjoy the Q just like I enjoy the NGX, Airbus and the mighty J41, with a simple press of a button. Thanks again
  2. Thanks. I'm happy with my set up now so I won't mess with it.
  3. Hi, Am I missing out on anything by not upgrading to Windows10? I'm running FSX on W7 and I'm happy. I'm just wondering. Thanks

The weight varies depending on the regulation covering your flight. At my airline one of the preflight checks is to review the FMC default settings and verify that the Standard Checked, Heavy Checked and Carry-On bags are set correctly. I haven't flown the NGX in a while, isn't there a way to change those settings?

  6. My first reaction to your post was to say that FOs are underrated in real life also. If I could count the time in which a person has walked up to me and asked; how long until the Captain lets me fly? Yada, yada, yada. Or when the captain messes up a landing and it's assumed that the FO did. It's just part of airline life. It's assumed that the captain has more experience than the FO, however that's not always the case.
  7. Don't Let Anybody Discourage You! Especially the Grammar Police up a few posts Your plan on a community college is fine. Airlines don't care what college/university you go to. As long as the institution is accredited. Your major won't matter either, so my suggestion is to get a degree in something other than aviation. If you're thinking about joining the military, please look into every branch of service. Too many people are so focused on flying that they only look at the Airforce and unfortunately neglect the Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard. See which one can offer you the most for your time, dedication and service. The GI Bill is an amazing benefit.
  8. I have something similar happen to me but only with certain liveries. They worked before, now they don't initialize. I've tried everything except uninstall. Sorry, I wish I could help :(
  9. In real life I don't really worry about it that much. I do it by time. At about 30 minutes prior to arrival I do all my calculations and ask the lead FA if they need any pax assists, lav service, etc. Then I send the in-range report and at the same time send out for my ref speeds and all that good stuff. Once I get it, we both verify it, and input it. In the sim I try to do the same but my dog Fuego verifies it
  10. It really depends on the engines Phillipp. Some require more than others. Our sop at my airline requires a 2 min cool down before shutting off the engines.
  11. G550flyer, That's exactly what we do at my airline also. We hack the time right after we put the engines into idle rev. I have never ran into the 3 or (2 minute cool down B1900) before in real life, but in the FSX it happens. I'm flying all over the Dominican Republic so unless I fly into Las Americas MDSD, Punta Cana MDPC or Puerto Plata MDPP I run into the 3 minute cool down issue. I'll just have to taxi slower like Peter suggested
  12. Is there a way to modify this to 2 minutes? So that I can shut the engines sooner. Thanks
