July 4, 200619 yr I think I had read someplace that there was a different procedure for blocking a runway for either take off or landing, but not sure where I saw this or what the solution was.I'm finding that at Anchorage, for instance, that I block runway 6L/6R for take off and runways 24L/R for landing. But my AI aircraft are still landing on the "24" runways and having a problem because of the high terrain to the east. Is there a fix for this?I set up STAR runway systems so as to utilize all runways, but it also has this downside of not being able to block for landing or take off. Could I get some information on this? Thanks,Honus
July 5, 200619 yr Author I asked the question on another forum if it was still true that the runway privileges had to still be the same at both ends and the answer was yes :(.Apparently you know how to use AFCAD.Where multiple runways are present that are available to be active you can assign some for take-off only and some for landing only and yet some closed but not different at each end. This unfortunately leaves problems where terrain makes approaches in both direction difficult, especially in real world circumstances where procedure turns or circle to land are used.Frankfurt, Germany, EDDF, is an interesting example:7/25 R/L can be used for T/O or landing. There is a runway 18 (but not logicly 18/35) that is defined for departures only toward the south. Departures toward the north on 35 are not allowed and landings in either direction are not allowed according to documentation I have. I do not see a way to set this up for AI.Bummer.
