July 4, 200619 yr Hello to the GE Pro team. Looks like you have a winner there. I read in alot of posts that the program is compatible with many other 3rd party software and there was some talk of BEV. Nothing really came close to the answer of whether or not to remove BEV before installing GE Pro. Will GE Pro enhance BEV or will it hinder the texture creation somewhat. Any comments? Thanks, \Robert Hamlich/
July 4, 200619 yr GE Pro will REPLACE the BEV textures, so it doesn't matter, if you keep BEV or not. GE Pro is much better looking anyway, but that's my subjective opinion.Pat
July 4, 200619 yr Thanks for the info Pat. Really want to give GE Pro a try... so you really like it huh? I am going to take a set of screenshots prior to and after installing GE Pro and post them at Avsim. Looking forward to seeing the difference. Thanks, \Robert Hamlich/
July 4, 200619 yr the only thing you need to be careful of is this.If you keep BEV on your system and then install GE PRO there is a danger when you switch back to BEV you will see a lot of GE PRO textures. The reason for this is that BEV does not have a full set of textures as GE PRO does and there will be places where you can end up seeing both. You won't see both though when you install GE PRO.So if you do a before and after comparison, don't forget to do the before you install GE or GE PRO and also, don't forget to compare other parts of the world too like Europe.
July 5, 200619 yr Thanks for the info Peter. I am going to collect screenshots featuring different areas of the world.I am looking forward to seeing what the difference is and posting the screenshots comparing the two. Like someone else posted... I swore that I would not purchase any other addons but after seeing and reading about GE Pro and seeing a video featuring the LD767 with Track Ir4 I went and made a couple of more purchases. Already had the LD767 since its release though. And what is worse I have a drumset that I am constantly adding to. Hobbies sure can be expensive, but it sure is worth every penny when you get the results you have been hoping for.I have to take it easy the next five days so hopefully I will have a chance to let you all see. Thanks, \Robert Hamlich/
July 5, 200619 yr yes, I know about hobbies. I fly for real and that can cost an arm and a leg. Plus FS9. Well, that can cost more. aha
July 5, 200619 yr Hey Peter, flying for real! You must be making too much from these addons!:-) ;-) . I took up Flightsim cos I had to give up the real thing due to lack of funds but, as you point out, it's catching up expense wise with the real thing.
July 5, 200619 yr yeah, I wish I could afford to fly more. If you want to be a pilot something has to give. All the guys at the club, like me are BROKE!!!LOL
