Airspace transit

Hi All,

In VFR (planned) flight I can transit via D airspace without clearance indication on the prompter.  Is there a way to change this ? If not may I contact the D airspace tower directly and request for a transit ?

For example I take off from Cameron Park(O61) to  Nut Tree (KVCB) and I must transit via Mather(KMHR) D airspace (0ft agl to 2.600ft). My altitude is 2500ft.

What is the correct phraseology for this?

In the manual it is said:
request transit bravo airspace at <altitude> to <location>

In my case it should be something like:
-Request transit Delta airspace at 2.500 to KVCB.
Am I right?

In real life you would identify yourself (aircraft make and tail number), Give your location (ie nautical miles and heading from the airport as well as your altitude) and request transition Delta airspace on route to your destination. This is not currently supported in VoxTC. I have talked with Tegwyn about this (quite some time ago) and he said perhaps in a future release. If you try this now the tower will repeatedly respond, “Say again.” One cool thing that will happen is the airport will populate with AI traffic when you tune to the tower and talk to ATC.

I have not tried this using expert mode, but I do know if your route goes through  Bravo airspace and you have flight following , ATC will hand you off to approach as you get closer to Bravo airspace. It will not have you go through the process of asking for clearance to transition Bravo, which you would do in real life.
