Diamond DA42 ECU Swap Switch

Recommended Posts

What these two switches for?  I know that ECU stands for Engine Control Unit but  I have no idea what these are used for!

Basically the switch switches between the two ECU systems for checking during the run-up. Think of them as the Mag Check (1 and 2 - On/ Off - watch for the rev drop)

In flight the DA-42 will switch if the ECU 1 fails to ECU 2 so it parts company with the Mag similarity at that point.
