GE Pro and Megascenery

How does GE Pro work with Megascenery? Does it change it in any way other than change textures? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks,Tom

>How does GE Pro work with Megascenery? Does it change it in>any way other than change textures? Any comments would be>appreciated.Tom:It doesn't change any textures in Megascenery at all, in fact. If you use GE Pro with Megascenery, the only thing that will be altered is the sky color, which Megascenery had nothing to do with in the first place.GE Pro provides its own highly enhanced *base* textures for FS9, and does so for every season, worldwide (except for areas covered by MegaScenery). It also adds much more enhanced autogen to the entire planet. Where GE Pro shines, though, is that it allows the user to create a series of selectable ground and sky texture sets which can ostensibly match any given weather situation. Thus -- for the first time in FlightSim history -- it's not just the sky and clouds that are affected by weather, but the color of the *ground* as well (as should be). It's never been done, but Peter Wilding and team managed to come up with a very creative solution.I utilize MegaScenery for a variety of VFR flights over covered areas; but admittedly, MegaScenery doesn't cover a huge part of the globe, and I tend to fly all over the world. So, for me, GE PRO has made the "world" experience really quite amazing since nearly everything is beginning to look "photoreal" in many respects. I almost wish GE PRO really *could* alter the tint and color of MegaScenery tiles, too. :)

Thanks for the info.Tom

O.K. explain to me how GE Pro works. If I'm flying from say KMDW in rainy conditions to KPHX, how does GE Pro account for that??? There's allot of different weather I'm flying over that changes dynamically with programs like ASv6. Does GE Pro do a snapshot of the whole earth

Rather than explain it, why don't you just go over to the flight 1 forums and have a look at the developers explanations?http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_topics.asp?FID=2Everything you've asked is on that forum, I reckon.Allcott
