August 12, 20187 yr Enjoying the Xplane11 Ask21 glider, with its courtesy tow to altitude. Annecy is a beautiful small historic town in France, with canals like Venice. The way it is situated on a lake, with the majestic French alps, it rests near Mt. Blanc. I went there in 1989, back when France required visas of US Citizens. I went to the French consulate in San Francisco to get mine, the people there were so courteous and gave me brochures on France. I flew to Geneva, took the train to the main station, then walked across Lac Le Man to another, smaller station for the ride to Annecy. Saw Mt. Blanc in 1982, on a tour, we went to Chamonix on our way to Zermatt in Switzerland. There I was at the foot of the Matterhorn, with breathtaking rare clear weather and views of it. John
